Time Defenders opens for pre-registration

South Korea-based developer Vespa has just opened the pre-registration for Time Defenders, its tower defence RPG for the Android and iOS platforms. The game is scheduled for a release sometime in 2021, and as part of the announcement, a new promotional video was shared.

There is some semblance of a plot here, which you can easily extrapolate from the video, but how much this will be expanded on remains to be seen. Also, as previously reported, an easy comparison can be made to Arknights, of course, being a fellow tower defence game. Time Defenders utilizes 3D models over chibi spriteworks, and its map design likewise appear more complex besides the fancier effects on skills. The grids don’t look immediately apparent at first glance either. Various tactics and hero abilities will be made available to the users to combat the incoming waves of enemies, adding an additional layer of depth apart from the just the usual strategic placement of units.
