[TGS 2019] Marvel’s Avengers – To feel as the world’s mightiest heroes!

You can see them everywhere in the merchandise to even news! You can’t deny that Marvels Avengers is a part of popular pop culture that everyone could enjoy! With the blockbuster movie that shook the whole internet now comes a game. We lucky fellow gets to try out pre-alpha Marvel’s Avengers.

With Marvel’s Avengers has a history of 80 years worth of comic books lores, instead of following the lores from the comic books, Crystal Dynamics creates a whole new original story for Mavel’s Avengers A-Day. As you can see in the trailer, the Avengers were celebrating A-Day event with the new helicarrier but the event went south and lives were lost that they including Captain America.

With the lost of their leader, the Avengers were disbanded and within that moment a new organization has arised to replace the Avengers. This new organization is known AIM aka Advanced Idea Mechanics. Now, AIM has this vision that science will save the world, not people in super tight suits. Five Years later, AIM has mobilized an AI force to “protect” civilians from the superheroes.

In the game the Avengers were scattered,Tony has completely withdrawn from the world. He has lost his fortune, his tech and his toys. Bruce got lost in self imposed purgatory into lost the will to turn back to himself again from Hulk. Thor felt unworthy to wield the Mjolnir anymore due to guilt of losing Captain America. Captain America, well as you can see from the trailer, goes down along with the helicarrier.  In this game, you won’t be playing typical Avengers saving the world. The game focuses of you saving the Avengers itself.

Marvel’s Avengers will have both single player and co-op experience. You can see the missions when you opened up the Wartail in hotspots around the world. The hero mission which is blue highlighted is for single player experience. This mission centers around a specific heroes in each mission and will advance the campaigns.

The co-op campaign will be called the Warzone mission and you can play any heroes that is unlocked but you can’t choose the same heroes that other player has chosen. You can play solo or you can play in a party up to four players. You will get to explore earn gears, resource, outfits, fight enemies and uncover secrets. There will be a wide variety of objectives and activity types which have high value target meaning there will be boss fight within the mission.

The outfits for the heroes are purely cosmetic so it won’t affect your gameplay, gears however do! These gears are made only to that specific heroes only meaning that it can’t be used by other heroes. The rarer the gears are, the better the perks they have to offer. You can earn the gears by completing the missions, challenges and other objectives. There are also some of the rare gears which can only be found in special missions!  Before you accept a mission, you can see the type of gear or the rarity of the gear that will be rewarded after you complete the mission.

During the battle you can feel that heroic moments of being an avengers. Each heroes have a signature moves  and original powers waiting for you to become one of the avengers. Crystal Dynamics doesn’t plan to stop with just 4 heroes that was introduced in the trailer. They are planning to have more heroes to come into the game! The game also will have weekly, bi-weekly and monthly content upgrades so you won’t get bored of the same content every time you log in!

Marvel’s Avengers will be launched on May 15th 2020. PS4 players will have an early access to the game! The game will be available in Playstation 4, XBox One, Google Stadia and PC. For the SEA region, the game will be published by Bandai Namco Entertainment SEA.
