SpongeBob’s Idle Adventures announced

KONGREGATE and Nickelodeon have partnered up to bring you SpongeBob’s Idle Adventures, a new mobile title. Through a TapTap post, here’s the low-down on the game:

In partnership with Nickelodeon, developer Kongregate is bringing players a new SpongeBob game called SpongeBob’s Idle Adventures.

It is a simulation game where you can manage your own Bikini Bottom. Characters from the SpongeBob series, including Patrick, Squidward, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, Gary, will appear in the game.

Tammy Levy, Chief Product Officer at Kongregate, stated that “SpongeBob has become a huge cultural icon, full of wisdom and wacky adventures, and is beloved by fans worldwide. We’re thrilled to be able to add to the universe and bring this new SpongeBob adventure to life for fans, big and small, to dive into.”

It’s not the first, and certainly unlikely to be the last, mobile game based off the SpongeBob SquarePants property, with something like SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off being quite popular in its own right. The title is apparently slated to launch in Summer 2021, so not too long to go before you dive right into Bikini Bottom for the umpteenth time, to series typical hijinks.
