Silent Hill 1 Remake Officially Announced

Konami has officially confirmed that a remake of the original Silent Hill 1 game is now in development. The announcement came during the company’s Konami Press Start Live showcase in June 2025. Bloober Team, the Polish developer behind the successful Silent Hill 2 remake, will once again handle the project. The studio has proven its ability to recreate the horror atmosphere that made the series famous, with their previous Silent Hill work earning strong reviews and selling over 2 million copies.

Details about the Silent Hill 1 remake remain limited. The announcement included only a brief teaser showing the Silent Hill logo alongside the series’ recognizable music. Konami has not revealed a release date or shown any gameplay footage yet.

This project stems from a partnership deal that Bloober Team signed with Konami back in February 2025. At the time, the companies announced they would work together on a new game using Konami’s properties, but they kept the specific project secret until now.

With no release date announced, fans will likely have to wait for more information about the Silent Hill 1 remake. Given that Bloober Team is probably still in early development stages, it could be some time before we see gameplay footage or learn more specific details about how the remake will update the 1999 original for modern audiences.
