Shadowverse Champion’s Battle gets summer 2021 release date for Switch

Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle, the spin-off to Shadowverse CCG on Windows and mobile is getting a summer 2021 release date for the Switch. You can watch the announcement trailer here:

Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle is a reimagined version of the strategic multiplayer mobile/PC card battle game for the consumer platform. As players progress the game, they can collect new cards to build more powerful decks. The game can be experienced solo, or players can head online for multiplayer matches to test complex new strategies against others. It will also feature a Battle Pass system with cosmetic leader skin rewards and other in-game bonuses unlockable by completing missions such as winning online matches. The Switch™ release also adds deluxe battle animations for a more immersive experience.

Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle previously had a 5th November 2020 release date for Switch owners in Japan. The Western release of the game will have the option of English voices.

Champion’s Battle is based on the anime adaptation of the original Shadowverse game on Windows and later on mobile devices. The Shadowverse anime aired in spring of last year and had 48 episodes, only ending a few weeks ago in March. You can watch the anime on Crunchyroll.
