Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) Pocket has kicked off 2025 with an exciting New Year Event, bringing special rewards and promotional content to players. The week-long celebration features an exclusive Pikachu promo card, themed cosmetics, and multiple opportunities to expand players’ collections.

The centerpiece of the event is a special edition Pikachu promo card, available immediately upon login. This 60 HP card maintains the familiar Gnaw attack dealing 20 base damage for one Lightning energy, matching the stats of its Genetic Apex counterpart. What sets it apart is its fresh artistic direction, depicting a dynamic Pikachu jumping forward, accompanied by fan-favorite starter Pokemon and Eevee.

Players who participate consistently throughout the event can unlock additional rewards. Logging in for four out of seven days rewards users with a festive New Year’s Frame backdrop, featuring Bulbasaur, Charmander, Pikachu, and Squirtle illuminated as colorful fireworks against the night sky. Daily logins throughout the entire event period will accumulate to 12 Wonder Hourglasses for the game’s Wonder Pick system.

The event also introduces multiple paths to earn Mythical Island packs. Players can secure packs through various activities: participating in one battle, completing three battles, performing five Wonder Picks, and sending thanks to other players five times after battles or Wonder Picks. Additionally, players can earn Pack Hourglasses by collecting 100 cards and opening five Mythical Island packs using pack stamina, with each milestone granting 12 hourglasses and a 24-hour reduction in pack opening time.

This event marks an energetic start to 2025 for Pokemon TCG Pocket, which launched on October 30, 2024, following its initial announcement in February of the same year. The mobile card game has maintained steady momentum through December with various updates and events, including premium rewards, battle events, and Wonder Pick features.
