Monster Hunter Now Announces Halloween Pumpkin Hunt Event Featuring Jack-o’-Head Armor

Capcom and Niantic have officially announced the Halloween Pumpkin Hunt event for Monster Hunter Now, introducing the special Jack-o’-Head armor.

As Halloween 2023 is nearly upon us, Monster Hunter Now will be having the Halloween Pumpkin Hunt event from 25 October 2023 to 31 October 2023

The Halloween Pumpkin Hunt was previously teased in their October event line-up announcement and it is set to adorn the street with Jack-o’-Lanterns, introducing new equipment, and Kulu-Ya-Ku holding pumpkin-like rocks.

Armor & Quests

During the event period, players will be able to complete special quests or slay any Kulu-Ya-Ku holding a pumpkin-like rock to receive Pumpkin Tickets, which can be used to forge and upgrade the event-exclusive Jack-o’-Head equipment.

The Jack-o’-Head equipment will grant the players the Armor Skill known as “Solidarity“, which grants the following effect:

• Increases attack power the more your fellow hunters have this skill activated. If active during the Halloween Pumpkin Hunt event, the effect is multiplied by 5!

Niantic noted that the Event Quests will be made available and the special Kulu-Ya-Ku will appear for all hunters above HR11, regardless of whether the relevant Story Quests are completed or not.

It was also noted that if players used up 70 Pumpkin Tickets to upgrade the Jack-o’-Head equipment, further upgrades can still be made using regular materials.

Then from October 28th onwards to the end of the event, there will be a Halloween Medal Acquisition Quest, which upon completion will reward players with the Halloween Pumpkin Hunt Medal.

Exclusive Packs

As part of the announcement, Niantic also revealed that 2 time-limited packs will be available from the in-game Shop and Web Store.

Upon purchase, each Pack will grant players the following items:

• Halloween Pack
  • Potion x10
  • Paintball x2
  • Wander Droplet x2
  • Special Carving Knife x2
• Web Store-exclusive Halloween Premium Pack
  • Potion x30
  • Paintball x6
  • Wander Droplet x6
  • Special Carving Knife x3

As mentioned, the Halloween Pumpkin Hunt event for Monster Hunter Now will be available starting from 25 October 2023 to 31 October 2023.
