As the highly anticipated fantasy RPG Gran Saga gears up for its global release we have prepared a tier list that aims to help both newcomers and seasoned tacticians make informed decisions about which characters to prioritize in their team compositions.

In Gran Saga’s rich fantasy setting of Lagunadea, where the legacy of the Grand Knights and their battle against the black dragon Ismael shapes the world, choosing the right characters for your team is essential. With the game’s dynamic Tag Battle system allowing you to control up to three characters and utilize over 100 Grand Weapons, team composition can significantly impact your success in various game modes, from story missions to challenging Advent Dungeons and cooperative Extermination Battles.

The criteria for each ranking are as follows:

Rating(s):

• S Tier – These characters are some of the best in the game, and generally excel at fulfilling their role in most scenarios and are highly recommended to build.
• A Tier – Excellent batch of characters, only falling slightly behind the S-tier units, and can play well in most content.
• B Tier – Still worth the investment and can be pretty solid in certain teams or circumstances.
• C Tier – Situational. May not be worth the investment due to limited usage.
• D Tier – Very situational. Not recommended unless under a specific scenario.

Las	Fire-attribute close-range attacker, High single target and ranged firepower, Increases the attack power of allies making them effective as support
Quyi	Fire-attribute long-range magic attacker, Overwhelming ranged firepower, Increases damage dealt by allies against bosses making for an effective as a support
Seriade	Water attribute long-distance support/healer, Can equip Resurrection GW, Good at recovering HP and granting shields to allies, Can save LP for the entire party
Christina	Water-type long-range attack, Also good at recovering HP and granting shields to allies, Useful as a support with LP buffs and increased magic damage
Yuna	Wind-attribute long-distance magic attacker, Good at recovering allies' HP, Can increase the firepower of allies
Fuxiao	Wind-type close-range physical attacker, The longer the battle continues the stronger your attack power will become, Good at stopping enemy movements with abnormal conditions
Hilda	Earth attribute close-range physical attacker, When attacked by an enemy attack power increases, Increases the attack power of allies
Orta	Light attribute long-distance magic attacker, The only character who can reduce the skill CT of allies, Increases the attack power of allies
Mikokoro	Light attribute long-range physical attacker, High single target and ranged firepower, Increases allies' critical rate for a certain period of time
Jun	Dark attribute long-distance magic attacker, The appeal is that one character can strengthen allies and weaken enemies, In an emergency can restore HP to allies by applying the bloodsucking effect.
Ivan	Dark attribute mid-range magic attacker, High range firepower, Depending on the order in which you use your skills can produce some of the highest firepower of all characters.

Kaito	Water-attribute close-range physical attacker, High individual firepower, Lowers enemy defenses, Increases the critical rate of allies
Namarie	Wind-type long-range physical attacker, High single target and ranged firepower, Equipped with RGW "Rosalia" to play an active role as a support
Wyin	Earth attribute close-range physical attacker, High HP and durability, Attracts attacks from enemies within range
Luin	Earth attribute close-range magic attacker, High single target and ranged firepower, Attract enemies to one place with the Attract State.
Elio	Earth attribute long-distance magic attacker, Good at dealing continuous damage, Increases the damage multiplier of allies
Leon	Light attribute close-range physical attacker, High HP and durability, Attracts attacks from enemies within range
Karte	Dark attribute close-range physical attacker, High individual firepower, Greatly increases allies' critical rate
B Tier
Karcion	Dark attribute close-range physical attacker, Greatly increases allies' critical rate, Firepower is inferior to that of Kaito
