Publisher Fictions and Pokemon developer Game Freak have revealed their latest project Beast of Reincarnation, an action adventure game that was previously known by its code name Project Bloom. The game is set to release in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also get access to the title.
The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic version of Japan, where the world has been destroyed by corruption and dangerous monsters roam the land. Players will control Emma, a character who has been cast out from society and labeled as a “Blighted One,” along with her faithful dog companion named Koo.
According to Fictions, the game focuses on survival as players travel through a hostile world that constantly changes around them. The environment can shift unexpectedly, with dangerous forests suddenly appearing in wasteland areas. Furthermore, as Emma and Koo continue their journey together, their relationship grows stronger, and they develop mysterious new abilities.

Beast of Reincarnation is described as a single-player action RPG that centers around challenging combat that requires skill and precise timing. Additionally, the developers promise an expansive adventure that explores themes about what makes us human in a world where humanity is nearly extinct.

Game Freak, best known for creating the Pokemon series, showed off the first trailer for Beast of Reincarnation, giving players their first look at the dark, monster-filled world that Emma and Koo must navigate. Moreover, the game represents a significant departure from the studio’s usual family-friendly titles, offering a more mature experience with technical combat and serious themes.
