Developer Bethesda Game Studios has announced free updates for Fallout 4 on all platforms coming out on 25 April 2024, focusing on next-gen upgrades.
The update will include native applications for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Performance mode and Quality mode settings, as well as stability improvements and fixes, enabling players to experience up to 60 FPS with increased resolutions.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will also receive a free update with stability improvements, login and quest fixes.
PC players who purchased the game via Steam, Microsoft Store and GOG will receive widescreen and ultra-widescreen support with the update, Creation Kit fixes, quest updates and bug fixes for stability and mods.
Alongside the update, Bethesda also announced that Fallout 4 will be available to purchase on the Epic Games Store and be Steam Deck verified.
In addition, a new quest series “Enclave Remnants” will be added to the game, bringing with it a collection of free Creation Club items.

In addition to new workshop items and the Enclave Colonel uniform, the following previously released Creation Club content will also be permanently added to the game:

- Enclave Armor Skins
- Tesla Cannon
- Hellfire Power Armor
- X-02 Power Armor
- Heavy Incinerator
- Makeshift Weapon Pack
- Halloween Workshop
