Electronic Arts has officially confirmed plans to reveal a new installment in the Battlefield franchise this summer, according to statements made in the company’s fourth quarter and fiscal year 2025 financial results.
“The incredible success of College Football and the enduring strength of FC drove another record year for EA Sports, while The Sims capped [fiscal year] 25 with a historic [fourth quarter],” said EA CEO Andrew Wilson. “As we look to the future, we’re confident in our ability to execute across a deep pipeline—beginning this summer with the highly anticipated reveal of Battlefield, a pivotal step in delivering on our next generation of blockbuster entertainment.”
The upcoming title is scheduled for release by March 2026 and represents a significant investment for the publisher. Development involves four internal EA studios—collectively known as “Battlefield Studios”—working on different aspects of the game.
The game has been in closed testing since March, with EA adopting a more transparent development approach following community disappointment with Battlefield 2042. In February, Electronic Arts announced Battlefield Labs, an initiative to collaborate with the community and allow players to test future Battlefield concepts while providing feedback.

According to a recent update on X (formerly Twitter), DICE plans to expand testing this month by inviting more players across Europe, North America, and Asia. “Alongside testing new content, we’ll continue to iterate on our initial focus areas, such as balancing the different weapon archetypes and damage values, as well as movement and combat pacing mechanics,” the studio stated.
