Bravia XR TVs to become Perfect for PS5 with brand-new exclusive features

Sony‘s Perfect for PS5 campaign is being introduced for BRAVIA XR TVs to offer features specifically designed for the console for immersive picture and sound when gaming. The features are Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode, alongside supporting frame rates up to 120fps in a super-crisp 4K resolution as specified in HDMI 2.1 in compatible games. You’re also assured extraordinary smoothness and responsiveness in first-person shooter, sports and high-performance games with instant on-screen action thanks to input lag as low as 6.0ms on the Z9J models.

Even if not for gaming exclusively, the TVs will be able to deliver stunningly realistic pictures full of vibrant colours and eye-catching contrast, complemented by unique sound from screen technology for your other visual entertainment.

The Bravia XR TV PS5 features are detailed as follows:

• Auto HDR Tone Mapping
  • Automatically optimized HDR settings during PS5 initial setup, recognizing individual BRAVIA TV models accordingly. Seeing crucial details and colours in high contrast scenes will not be any problem. Software updates on both PS5 and BRAVIA are required, available by end of January 2022

• Auto Genre Picture Mode
  • Your TV will automatically switch into Game Mode when gaming for minimal input lag, or Standard Mode for movies / streaming services / Ultra HD Blu-ray disc for more expressive picture. Software updates on both PS5 and BRAVIA are required, available by end of January 2022
