ATLUS has officially announced Persona 4 Revival, a complete remake of the beloved RPG Persona 4 Golden. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC through Steam and Microsoft Store.
While no release date has been set, ATLUS confirmed that Persona 4 Revival will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. The announcement came with a debut trailer showcasing updated visuals for the rural town of Inaba, where the story takes place.
The remake follows the same core story as the original game. Players take on the role of a transfer student who moves to Inaba and forms friendships with local residents. However, strange murders and a mysterious TV channel soon disrupt daily life, leading to the discovery of another world and the awakening of Persona powers.
Kazuhisa Wada, Director at P-STUDIO, shared his excitement about the project in a special message. He described Persona 4 as a “special title” that has been part of ATLUS for many years and holds personal meaning for the team. In addition, the game has inspired numerous spinoffs over the years, including TV anime series, fighting games like Persona 4 Arena and Arena Ultimax, and the rhythm game Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

Wada also mentioned that P-STUDIO is actively preparing for future Persona series development, with work progressing well to meet fan expectations worldwide. More details about Persona 4 Revival are expected to be shared in the coming months.
