The Apple World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2025 brought exciting news for users across all Apple devices. Here are the nine biggest announcements that will change how you use your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other Apple products.
Apple is rolling out a brand new design called Liquid Glass across all its devices. This translucent, see-through style will appear on iPhone (iOS 26), iPad (iPadOS 26), Mac (macOS Tahoe 26), Apple Watch (watchOS 26), and Apple TV (tvOS 26). The new design makes apps look more lively and expressive while keeping them easy to use. Apple is also making all their software version numbers the same across devices for the first time.
Apple’s AI features are getting major upgrades. The biggest addition is Live Translation, which helps you talk to people who speak different languages through messages or voice calls. Genmoji (custom emoji) and Image Playground (AI image creation) are also getting fun updates. A new feature called Visual Intelligence lets you point your iPhone camera at anything on your screen to search for information or ask ChatGPT questions about what you’re looking at.
The Phone app now puts your favorites, recent calls, and voicemails all in one place instead of separate tabs. A new Call Screening feature will answer unknown calls for you and find out what the caller wants before you decide to pick up. In Messages, you can now screen texts from strangers, add custom backgrounds to your conversations, and create polls to ask your friends questions. The Phone app is also coming to Mac computers for the first time.

iPad users can now resize app windows however they want and put them anywhere on the screen, just like on a computer. You can also open more apps at once than before. The Files app got a makeover with better ways to organize your documents, and you can now drag folders directly to the bottom dock for quick access.
The Apple Watch now has a Workout Buddy feature that uses AI to give you personalized encouragement during exercise. The Workout app has a new layout and picks music based on what you like and what type of exercise you’re doing. You can also use a new wrist gesture to dismiss notifications with just one hand, and the Notes app is now available on your watch.

Apple’s Vision Pro headset is getting major improvements. Widgets now float in your space and remember where you put them. The digital avatars (called Personas) look much more realistic with better hair, eyelashes, and skin. You can now share experiences with other Vision Pro users in the same room, like watching 3D movies together or playing games.
AirPods can now record high-quality audio that sounds professional, even in noisy places thanks to Voice Isolation technology. You can also use your AirPods to start and stop video recording from far away by pressing the stem – perfect for taking videos of yourself.

CarPlay is getting updates that make it easier to use while driving. Incoming calls now show up in a smaller window so they don’t block your view. You can pin important conversations in Messages, use Tapbacks (quick reactions), and see widgets and Live Activities without taking your eyes off the road.
Apple TV now automatically shows your personal profile when you turn it on, so you can quickly get back to your watchlist and playlists. A fun new feature lets you use your iPhone as a wireless microphone when singing along to songs in Apple Music on your TV. Most of these features from Apple will be available later this year when the new software versions are released.
