Exclusive Review – We played the demo for King’s League 2 by Kurechii Games!

Kurechii Games’ recent games such as Postknight and Tiny Guardians has been well-received among the mobile gaming community, and now they are bringing us a new mobile game called King’s League 2! It is a sequel to King’s League: Odyssey, a flash strategy game launched back in 2013. We got the chance to have a small talk with the producer, YiWei as well as trying out the new game’s demo on LEVEL UP KL 2018, so check out the details below!

Different from King’s League: Odyssey, King’s League 2 has put its focus more on the storyline, making it a single player experience with a full written story. The game tells the story of young Maxwell who left his hometown to join the league. Players will be able to follow his adventure while making new friends throughout the story. This time around, there will be a pretty female character to guide the players through the tutorial too.

The game still uses a real-time battle system, a few in-game “days” will be used up when you perform a recruit or training. After recruiting some units, you can start to battle against all kinds of different opponents to reveal more area on the map. We noticed that there are plenty of interesting details added to the game, for example, some units might respond you with “Why?” when you assign them to read (one of the training options).

Also, Yiwei tells us that this time they are adding active skills to the units, where players can release the skills for good use during battle. However, the skills are only available once in a battle so you will need to use it wisely.

The team has put a lot of effort on King’s League 2‘s music as well. The game is having a richer variety of soundtrack than its predecessor, the music change according to the situation offers a more immersive gameplay experience too. Although we couldn’t showcase its music in our gameplay video above, we do love the game’s fascinating soundtracks while we are trying out the demo.

In short, King’s League 2 is a game that you can look forward to, as it features a really interesting gameplay that is even better than its predecessor. Yiwei mentioned that they haven’t decided on whether it will be a premium or free-to-play game yet, but it will probably be a premium game following the footsteps of King’s League: Odyssey.
