Netmarble and its development studio Netmarble Nexus have officially announced Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi for iOS and Android devices. The announcement comes two years after the game was first teased with a trailer in 2023.
The mobile game will let players explore the world of Shangri-La in full 3D graphics. One of the main features is its simple control system that allows players to battle giant bosses using just one hand. The game also includes a two-character switching system where players can alternate between different characters during combat.
Netmarble recently released a new announcement trailer showing the main character Sunraku and other characters from the series. The trailer shows players fighting monsters, using special abilities, and exploring different towns. The highlight of the trailer is a boss fight against Lycagon the Nightslayer, which is the first major boss enemy from the original story.
Additionally, the game will feature voice acting from the original anime series. Yuma Uchida will return as the voice of Sunraku, while Rina Hidaka will voice Emul. Netmarble described the game as bringing “the world of ShanFro in 3D” with “huge bosses” that can be defeated through “2-person alternating combat that can be easily enjoyed with one hand.”

While Netmarble hasn’t announced a specific release date for Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi, their recent game timeline report suggests the game won’t be coming out in 2025. The company is also working on other projects, including The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, which is planned for release on consoles, PC, and mobile phones in the second half of 2025.
