Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, a new mobile title that brings the popular physical card game to digital platforms, has been announced.
As part of today’s Pokemon Presents, a new trailer was dropped, showcasing players swipe open various Pokemon Trading Card Game booster packs on their mobile devices.
As revealed in the presentation, Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is slated to launch sometime this year in 2024 for both Android and iOS devices.
In the 2-minute-long concept trailer, various features of the game were promised, including a virtual gallery for everything you have collected, a trading feature to swap cards with friends, deck-building capabilities, as well as quick matches with a simplified but still similar rulesets.
Aside from many cards retaining its original illustrations from the physical versions, the new game would also have completely new artwork for cards, as well as featuring “immersive” cards that allow players to leap into the art itself to explore the Pokemon and its habitat.
The game also promised players that two booster packs will be given out for free every day with no additional cost.
Creatures Inc., the original developers of the Pokemon Trading Card Game, will be developing the game alongside DeNA.
