SEGA is excited to share the official trailer for Update 2.0 of Two Point Museum, the latest title from Two Point Studios. This free update introduces a range of new content, improvements, and quality-of-life enhancements.
Update 2.0 brings a host of gameplay tweaks and fixes based on community feedback to make the experience even smoother. Highlights include 23 new floor and wallpaper options, fun new staff traits like Family Friendly and Antibacterial, improved thief-catching mechanics, a new 360° free-standing camera, and many other updates to enhance your museum management journey.
23 New Floors and Wallpaper
The development team turned to the Discord community to determine what should be prioritized first – and the clear winner was new wallpapers and floors. Across various community hubs, players have consistently requested more customization options to better tailor the guest experience. The most popular suggestions included snow-themed designs for icy exhibits and a selection of more neutral tones – particularly darker walls to enhance the atmosphere of hauntingly beautiful hotel displays.

Staff Traits
In addition to two new staff room items designed to keep employees well-fed and satisfied, the update introduces exciting new staff traits that bring even more personality to team members – capturing the distinct charm of Two Point County. Improved Thief Mechanics
Thieves in Two Point Museum have been a divisive feature, but the development team has introduced a series of updates to improve the security system and reduce player frustration.
Key changes include the addition of a new free-standing 360° camera that patrols in a circle and the option to place outdoor cameras indoors for more flexibility. Thieves no longer flee from cameras; instead, spotted thieves will trigger a call for nearby security guards.

To make guards more effective, thieves now move slower, giving staff more time to intercept them. AI improvements also mean Molars no longer target the nearest exhibit, and guards are assigned more quickly, with fixes ensuring thieves are caught near escape points.
Expedition and Exhibition Improvements
To enhance overall quality of life, several improvements have been made to Expedition Discovery and Exhibit management, streamlining the curation experience. Players can now view the point of interest (POI) an exhibit came from when inspecting it or browsing the sticker book, with the option to open the map directly to that POI – eliminating the need to search manually for specific exhibits.
Additional tweaks make it easier to locate Pristine Exhibits after fully surveying a POI, and survey progress has been increased for both Detailed and Safe Expeditions. Exhibits now display their traits immediately upon discovery in the reveal screen.

For easier placement and customization, item and exhibit boundaries have been refined for smoother building. When installing perks, any incompatible perks in the inventory will now appear grayed out with helpful context, making creative decisions clearer for curators.
