Project EX is a game developed by NXGames which first revealed back in September and was presented in G-Star 2017 to seek potential publishers for the game. The game developed with Unreal Engine 4 and winner of the Unreal Developer Grant contest is built around elements of tactical RPG and hero collection. With a massive world to explore and dominate paired with high graphics, the surreal combat scenes would remind you of Sid Meirs’ Civilization or even Rome: Total War.
As the game is built for mobile, NXGames has optimized the game for mobile so that players will not encounter overloaded information on their screen which could result in lag, crashes and sorts. The UI was also made to be easy on the eyes and accessible without much trouble. While it is a hybrid game that is built as a 4X game, “eXplore, eXpand, eXploit and eXterminate”, players can also be on the battlefield taking on as one of the heroes and do battle for the win.
Though it’s a domination game, the RPG elements embeded in the game has allowed developers to chip in a story to make it not just another RPG or a world domination game, but also rich in lore. The inclusion of lore in the game could also create new content in the future which prolongs the longevity of the game’s lifespan.
The game is expected to be released for the Western market and South Korea. They are also expected to include world raids, siege and more features in future updates! So stay tuned!
