Netmarble and Netmarble Monster have revealed new details about their upcoming action RPG MONGIL: STAR DIVE which will hold a closed beta test from June 19 to 26 during Summer Game Fest 2025. Registration for the closed beta test for MONGIL: STAR DIVE is now open on the official website.
The publishers released a new trailer showing off the game’s colorful world and main characters Cloud, Verna, and Nyanners as they explore different areas filled with various monsters. The footage highlights one of the game’s main features – monster taming – with Nyanners using special abilities to capture creatures.

The trailer also shows the party-based combat system, where multiple characters can fight together in real-time battles. A new character called Sangun was introduced, featuring East Asian-inspired design elements that hint at deeper cultural themes in the game. Players interested in trying the game early can sign up for the closed beta test, which runs for about a week in late June.
MONGIL: STAR DIVE continues the story from Monster Taming, a popular Netmarble game that first came out in 2013. The new game uses Unreal Engine 5 to create better graphics and tells a more detailed story.
The game’s combat system is based on “Tag Play,” letting players control a team of three characters in fast-moving battles. In addition, the monster collection system lets players catch, collect, and combine different creatures to create new strategies. MONGIL: STAR DIVE will be available on consoles, PC through Epic Games Store, iOS, and Android devices.
