Chorus Worldwide and Toge Productions have launched a free demo for Coffee Talk Tokyo, the latest installment in the relaxing visual novel series that blends the art of coffee-making with supernatural storytelling.
Available now on PC via Steam, the demo offers a sneak peek at a brand-new café in a new city, featuring a fresh lineup of characters. Alongside the demo, a new trailer has been released to introduce players to the updated gameplay and new faces.
As part of Chorus Worldwide’s 11th anniversary celebration, Coffee Talk Tokyo shifts the setting from the familiar streets of Seattle to the bustling heart of Tokyo. Despite the change in scenery, the game retains the beloved formula of its predecessors – placing players behind the counter as a barista who listens to customers’ stories while serving up personalized hot beverages.
Shintaro Kanaoya, CEO of Chorus Worldwide, stated that the team had poured a great deal of passion into creating this early glimpse of Coffee Talk Tokyo. He expressed excitement about bringing players back into the Coffee Talk universe in a fresh setting and shared hopes that the demo would generate anticipation for the full release in 2025.

Kris Antoni Hadiputra, CEO of Toge Productions, expressed excitement over the launch of the Coffee Talk Tokyo demo, praising Chorus Worldwide for successfully preserving the essence of the original Coffee Talk while introducing a new setting and cast of characters. He shared that the team is eager to hear players’ feedback and reactions.
New Characters, Same Heart
The demo showcases several notable characters: Vin, a trainee barista coping with the aftermath of a recent accident; Jun, a musician grappling with creative burnout; and Ayame, a spectral former socialite trying to find her purpose in the afterlife. True to the series’ tone, the experience centers around meaningful conversations and quiet reflection, all wrapped in an interactive drink-making system where players blend ingredients to match a customer’s emotional state.

The spin-off is being developed internally at Chorus Worldwide, with creative input and support from original developer Toge Productions.
In celebration of the demo’s launch, Chorus is also hosting its largest sale yet across major platforms, including Steam, the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store.
