Bandai Namco officially revealed Code Vein II during Summer Game Fest 2025, bringing the vampire-themed action RPG series back to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC via Steam. The sequel is planned for release in 2026. The game continues the story in a future world where humans and supernatural beings called Revenants live together. However, things take a dark turn when a new threat called the Luna Rapacis appears, causing Revenants to lose their minds and transform into dangerous monsters known as Horrors.
Players take on the role of a Revenant Hunter who must work with a mysterious girl named Lou to save the world from destruction. Lou has the special ability to travel back in time, allowing players to change important events in the past that could affect the future.
One of Code Vein II’s main features is its time-spanning story. Players will explore both present-day and past versions of the game world, searching for ways to prevent total collapse. By changing the fate of important Revenant characters in the past, players can uncover hidden truths and lost histories that might hold the key to saving everyone.

The game keeps the original Code Vein’s unique blood-draining combat system, where players can absorb blood from defeated enemies to unlock new abilities and skills. Code Vein II introduces a new customization system that lets players freely modify weapons and skills to match their preferred fighting style.
Combat focuses on reading enemy attack patterns and using the right combination of abilities to survive intense battles against both regular enemies and massive bosses. Bandai Namco says they will share more details about Code Vein II’s world and gameplay features in the coming months as the 2026 release date approaches.
