Capcom Opens Monster Hunter Wilds Fan Design Contest

Capcom has launched a new design contest giving Monster Hunter fans the chance to see their creations become part of the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds game. The contest runs from June 3 to June 24, 2025, and asks players to submit original designs for either Hunter weapons or pendants.

The contest is open to fans in four regions: Japan, the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Players can enter by posting their designs on X (formerly Twitter) using their own accounts and including specific hashtags – either #WeaponEntry or #PendantEntry along with #MHWilds. Fans interested in entering can find full contest details through Capcom’s official channels and their official X account.

Contest Info and Prizes

After the entry period closes, Capcom will judge all submissions and select 20 entries from each category to move forward. These 40 designs will then face a global player voting phase from July 11 to July 18, 2025. Voters will need a CAPCOM ID to participate and will receive a free social media icon for taking part.

The top 8 designs from each category will be announced on July 25, 2025. The final winners will be chosen by the Monster Hunter Wilds development team, with results revealed on September 27, 2025.

Winners in both the weapon and pendant categories will receive significant recognition. The Grand Prize winners will see their designs actually added to Monster Hunter Wilds when it launches in early 2026. Excellence Award winners (8 in each category) will have their names listed in the game’s credits.

Entries must follow specific technical requirements: designs should be in JPG or PNG format with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 72 DPI resolution, and no larger than 2MB. Capcom recommends submitting high-quality designs to improve chances of selection.
