Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4 has officially arrived, and it’s bringing a wave of new banners with nine total across two phases. Whether you’re a Trailblazer saving up Stellar Jades or just unsure where to spend your pulls, here’s a guide to help you make the best decisions.
Version 3.4 Banner Recommendations
In the latest Version 3.4, there will be 9 banners that players are able to pull. There is 1 new character banner (Phainon), 2 Fate/stay night collaboration banners (Saber & Archer), and 6 rerun banners (Tribbie, Sunday, Sparkle, Firefly, Blade, Jingliu)
Let’s break it down by phase.
Phase One
Phainon (New 5-star Physical DPS)

Phainon is a self-reliant Physical main DPS who offers consistent damage and is easy to pick up, making him great for newer players or those seeking a straightforward carry. While his transformed Ultimate can deal heavy burst damage, failing to finish enemies in that state forces a cooldown period, which can put added pressure on team survivability. His baseline performance is solid, but his full potential will largely depend on future support character synergies.
Recommended for:
Phainon is ideal for players lacking a Physical main DPS or those starting out who need a reliable carry. He works best with strong support; without it, his performance may drop in future updates. If you already have solid teams, consider skipping him and saving for stronger reruns.
Tribbie (5-star Support – Rerun)

Tribbie is a top-tier support unit pick as she provides PEN RES debuffs, AoE utility, and shines with E1. A must-have for those who missed her in Version 3.0. A solid investment for all players.
Sunday (5-star Support – Rerun)

A strong support with energy regeneration and instant action for allies. He has excellent synergy with many DPS units, including Phainon, Aglaea, and the upcoming units Saber and Archer. If you own or plan to pull any of these DPS and lack strong support, consider pulling for Sunday at E0 + S1.
Sparkle (5-star Harmony – Rerun)

While she was a standout unit in earlier versions, she’s fallen behind the current support meta. Only pull if you’re building specifically around Archer.
Phase Two
Firefly, Blade, Jingliu (5-star Reruns)

Despite receiving some buffs, these reruns’ overall banner value is outclassed by the first phase options. Only recommended for fans or collectors.
Collaboration Banners – Saber & Archer

We’re finally seeing the long-awaited Fate/stay night crossover! However, their full performance potential is still unknown.
While they may be strong, it’s best to wait for launch-day performance reviews before spending your Stellar Jades.
Be sure to think about your current team, saved resources, and long-term goals before pulling in Honkai Star Rail 3.4. The meta will always change, but picking characters that match your playstyle is often more rewarding than just following trends.
