One of the fun things is this game is that you can trigger events. There are 46 for it, sometimes you can get great rewards from it but if you are unlucky, you may even lose your Magikarp (a little gambling element here). These events mostly trigger randomly after a training or a league play, while some of the events require certain pre-requisites to activate.

  1. Old Rod
    • Unlock Condition: Randomly in Home Screen (after completing Fast League)
    • Positive Result: Gain JP
    • Negative Result: Lose your current Magikarp
  2. Nugget
    • Unlock Condition: After training (after completing Quick League)
    • Result: Gain Coins scaled to your level
  3. Is It Treasure?
    • Unlock Condition: After training (after completing Quick League)
    • Positive Result: Gain Coins or Items
    • Negative Result: Lose your current Magikarp
  4. Our Eyes Met
    • Unlock Condition: After training (after completing Heal League)
    • Positive Result: Gain small amount of JP or a support candy
    • Negative Result: Lose JP
  5. Out of Nowhere…
    • Unlock Condition: After training (after completing Friend League)
    • Positive Result: Gain very large amount of JP
    • Negative Result: Lose your current Magikarp
  6. Idol Riches
    • Unlock Condition: After League match (after completing Heavy League)
    • Result: Gain a random item
  7. Massage a Karp
    • Unlock Condition: After training
    • Result: Gain 1 training point
  8. Everyone’s Hero
    • Unlock Condition: After winning a League match
    • Result: Gain 1 training point
  9. Roddy Tackle
    • Unlock Condition: After winning a League match (after completing Quick League)
    • Result: Gain Coins
  10. Unsinkable Magikarp
    • Unlock Condition: After losing a League match
    • Result: Gain 1 training point
  11. Go, Magikarp, Go!
    • Unlock Condition: After League match (after completing Quick League)
    • Result: Gain Coins
  12. All That Glitters
    • Unlock Condition: After training (after completing Friend League)
    • Positive Result: Gain diamonds
    • Negative Result: Lose JP
  13. Jumping Lesson

    • Result: Gain a LP Restore
  23. Watch and Learn
    • Unlock Condition: After training (after completing Fast League)
    • Result: Gain 1 training regime
  24. Slacker Magikarp
    • Unlock Condition: After training (after completing Quick League)
    • Positive Result: Gain JP
    • Negative Result: Lose JP
  25. Macho Karp
    • Unlock Condition: (after completing Great League)
    • Positive Result: Gain JP
    • Negative Result: Lose your current Magikarp
  26. Fan Mail
    • Unlock Condition: (after completing Fast League)
    • Result: Gain Item
  27. A Challenge

    • Unlock Condition: (after completing Great League)
    • Result: None
  29. Research Money
    • Unlock Condition: After League match (after completing Heal League)
    • Result: Gain a lot of coins
  30. The Fun Way Home
    • Unlock Condition: After training
    • Result: Restore all your Pokemon’s skills
  31. Cheap, Cheap
    • Unlock Condition: After training (after completing Ultra League)
    • Positive Result: Gain JP or a Training Soda
    • Negative Result: Lose coins
  32. Name Rater
    • Unlock Condition: After training
    • Result: Gain diamonds
  33. Say Cheese!
    • Unlock Condition: After training
    • Result: Gain Training Points
  34. 500 Coins
    • Unlock Condition: After league matches
    • Result: Gain 500 Coins
  35. Dumpster Diver
    • Unlock Condition: After training
    • Positive Result: Gain a Skill Restore
    • Negative Result: Lose JP
  36. A Mysterious Feather
    • Unlock Condition: After training
    • Positive Result: Gain JP
    • Negative Result: Lose JP
  37. Let’s Be Friends
    • Unlock Condition: After training, have Mimikyu
    • Positive Result: Gain a Power Up
    • Negative Result: Lose JP
  38. Is It Feebas?
    • Unlock Condition: Feebas randomly appears in Home Screen
    • Result: Gain JP
  39. Food Fever
    • Unlock Condition: Manaphy randomly appears in Home Screen
    • Result: Makes large amounts of food appear
  40. Be Gone!
    • Unlock Condition: Click the TV and cancel 7 times, it will break. Then, fix it by clicking and cancelling 7 more times. Event activates after training (can only be activated once)
    • Result: Magikarp’s maximum level increases by 1
  41. Hop, Skip & Whump!
    • Unlock Condition: Keep jumping in the aquarium and eventually a Pidgeotto will swoop in (can only be activated once)
    • Result: Lose your current Magikarp
  42. You’re No Magikarp!
    • Unlock Condition: Re-fishing four different consecutive times (which means you need to prepare 210 diamonds)
    • Result: Gain a Skill Restore
  43. You Can Do It!
    • Unlock Condition: After losing League Match 3 times in a row
    • Result: Gain 3 LP Restores
  44. Adios, Gyarados!
    • Unlock Condition: Tap your Magikarp repeatedly to break the Everstone. On the next level up, it will evolve into Gyarados.
    • Result: Lose your current Magikarp
  45. Let’s Push It!
    • Unlock Condition: Go into the Decoration list and tap the Bronze Eevee (can only be activated once)
    • Result: Get a Skill Restore
  46. Transforming Magikarp
    • Unlock Condition: Sometimes, you will see a rod facing the other way when fishing your Magikarp. If you select this rod, you will hook a Ditto posing as a Magikarp (can only be activated once)
    • Result: Unlocks the Ditto Cushion in the shop
