Further details on Dragon Quest Rivals revealed
As we have previously reported, Square Enix is in the midst of working on Dragon Quest Rivals, its take on the combat card game genre for smartphones. According to the announcement live stream, the game will be launch in Japan in early November 2017.
Other information disclosed in the During the live stream, Square Enix revealed the voice talents for the game and corresponding characters.

- Pavo (CV: Shintani Ryoko)
- Hyuza (CV: Shimazaki Nobunaga)
- Martina (CV: Koshimizu Ami)
- Camus (CV: Uchiyama Koki)
Similar to Shadowverse, the game features leader characters on top of card characters. From what Square Enix showcased thus far Terry (Warrior) specialises in attacking with weapons and sword skills, while Jessica (Mage) is an expert in offensive magic attacks. Torneko (Merchant) on the other hand powers up allies with item cards, with Meena (Fortuneteller) using fortune cards.
Meanwhile, Alena (Martial Artist) deals in combos with low-cost cards, whereas Angelo (Priest) provides support with heal and support magic. Lastly, Psaro (Magic Knight) pressures opponents through the use of MP boosts.
